The interview, the test.
The test is conducted in English, both written and orally. It allows us to evaluate the candidate’s English skills.
In the first part of the interview, we ask candidates about them, in order to have a better picture of who they are, what their previous experiences and skills are.
We like to know if the candidates have children, or babies in the family who they take care of. It is a great indication on the potential skills.
We check their background: we ask them about their previous employers, and, if we can, we contact them for recommendation.
The second part is much more precise. Overall, it evaluates the candidates’ abilities to:
- provide a trusted child care
- participate in baby and child’s awakening
- react if the baby seems sick, has fever
- secure the house, rooms for baby
- secure the baby in a public situation
- react in case of an accident
- communicate with parents
Depending on the answers, the potential, the availabilities and the actual skills, we then evaluate and determine the candidates’ job attribution: nanny, babysitter, maid.
